Camera hacker
It's the final two weeks of the year and the Leica Users Group (LUG) is looking for more photography submissions from photographers the world over.
The project has been going on since 2006 (if i recall correctly) and $5 of every book sale goes to Project H.O.M.E., an organization dedicated to providing shelter, medical care, and vocational training to homeless individuals. Personally, I have been involved with the LUG since 2004 and have submitted two photos every year for the book since it became an annual publication in 2006. It's a great endeavor by longtime LUG and RFF member Jim Shulman and part of the proceeds go to an extraordinary charity.
Submissions don't need to have been taken with a Leica or even a rangefinder. This is not a judged competition, it is just a collection of excellent work and the final product is always outstanding.

Two images per person, please. Don't link or send entire archives.
Each photo must be in jpg format and at least 1 megabyte.
In your email, incude the file name, a title and what equipment you used to make the photo.
Like I said, this is a great project and it has raised a significant amount of money for Project H.O.M.E. so the more submissions we can get, the better the book will be and it can sell itself based upon the merit of the work inside. In every past edition there have been some amazing photographs which easily could stand next to Salgado's, Bresson's or W. E. Smith's.
So get those images off to Jim ASAP! Submissions will be closed in only slightly more than a week and Jim has a lot of work to do with the layout. The book will be available for on-demand printing on January 1st from Blurb.com. To see previews of, or to purchase past editions, go to Blurb.com and search LUG yearbook.
