Leica winder M and winder M4-2 differences

What are the differences between the winder M and the winder M4-2?

Are they worth anything?

Check complete ebay sales for current market value. I had a mint Winder M that I sold here 4/2007 with shipping for $191 (us transaction). I much prefer Tom A's RapidWinders myself, but when I got it I did not know about Tom. For the occasional use worth the going rate.

I understand, but that wasn't my question 🙂

I wanted to know what were the differences between the Winder M4-2 and winder M, not what to buy. I own a Rapidwinder so I am set on my MP. I just have seen both winders for sell and wanted to know the differences...

As far as I know the M winder (14403) fits the M6, M4P, M42, & MD2 while the M 4-2 winder (14214) (not surprisingly) fits only the M4P & M4-2. The M winder takes the 14402 battery pack and the m4-2 takes the 14227 pack

Forgot - there was also a M4p winder (14401) with the 14402 battery pack.
