LEICATOM! Got a question on a luftwaffen but your PM is full!

I am holding a Luftwaffen-Eigentum labeled camera in my hand right now.


Can you get me any info on if it's real or not. The serial number dates it to about 1942 I think. It has the step by the rewind switch like a IIIc should have. It's silverish in color like your run of the mill IIIf or something like that. It does not have the K marking and has no other markings on it. The lens is a Summitar with no extra markings and the person owned several leica's so I wouldn't even know if it's original.

From what I understand, it was purchased in Germany in the 1940's after the war ended.

So to update anyone reading this, Tom has been able to verify the camera is authentic and with it's original lens. I have purchased the camera and am pleased as punch 😀😀
