A couple of interesting, but little known facts; Not all countries closed their doors too Jewish refugees, Australia ,under the then Prime Minister Robert Menzies, accepted some 16,000 refugees. Many of whom went on to fight in the Australian Armed Services. In occupied France, the Renault Car Company was almost packed up and sent back to Germany. Reg was coerced into working for the Nazis, and at the end of the war was used as a scapegoat by the socialist goverment for Frances collaboration during the war.
