Leitz Filter Designations

Yippee! My Leica IIIc arrived today all the way from San Francisco, courtesy of a fellow RFF member and mighty fine it looks too, with a very clean Summitar.

Now, down to business. The deal included some Summitar filters, which are also in good condition, but while I think I know what they are, can anyone confirm their designations?

Firstly 'A' appears to be amber.

'SL' appears to be a skylight or UV filter.

'C.F.' is a very pale yellow colour: 'Contrast Filter' perhaps?

'1' is light yellow.

Any further info is much appreciated.

Found these Leitz codes for the Summitar filters you have. Not sure where my pocket guide is or I could have given you further info. I will look tonight for it, if somebody hasn't posted additional info by then.

Yellow filter 1 GBWOO - There also are a YF 0 and a YF 2 for the Summitar
Type A FIDAY
SL Skylight GCSKY
Not sure about the C.F.

But I don't know C.F. Some soft of color film warming filter. Maybe to use Type F film in daylight? (Type F films were balanced for clear flashbulbs.)

Found what C.F. was for. It allowed the use of Kodacrome Type A films with clear flash bulbs. GCHEO was the Leica code if I am reading the chart right.
