Leitz New York...

I'm sure this has probably been addressed at some point on the Forum, so forgive me if I'm repeating the subject...

I'd be interested to know about collectors' thoughts on Leitz New York products and their value compared to Wetzlar items. I have an Imarect finder, a Summar hood, and a recently acquired Wollensak 127mm lens. Thanks very much!

I am not really a collector, but I know some items were made in large quanities in NY. Imarect finders and summar hoods are fairly common. These are not worth much more than a wetzler item. The 90mm and 127mm lenses are rare, but aren't that valuable concidering their rarity. The 50mm leitz ny velostigmat is very rare and very valuable. So the moral of the story is.... it depends on the item.
