Lens challenge on my Canonet QL17 GIII

I have my Canonet QL17 GIII going on three years now and I made some fantastic photographs with it. I do one challenge though, I find the front part of the lens assembly from the shutter speed ring to the end to have a little more play than I am comfortable with. Is there an easy way to tighten the lens assembly up without demolishing my camera?
