Lens - not focusing

Hi,

I'm a newbie to the RF world. Just purchased a RD1s in HK last week with 2 CV lenses - 35 f2.5 & 15 f4.5 with CV D viewfinder.

35 works beautifully, but with difficulties focus on the 15 one. No time to go back to consult the sales person becuse I have to fly. Is it norm for lenses other than 28-35-50 do not have view finder focus ability, only range focus. Or it's because the 15 is a screw mount and the adaptor to change to M mount is not working properly with the camera.

This is a very good forum and I appreciate all the contributions from members and especially with Sean's reviews that makes me dare to enter the RF world.

Welcome to the R-D1 club. I'm sure you will enjoy your camera.

The VC 15mm Helier is not a rangefinder coupled lens. You just focus by scale. The depth of field is great enough with a lens this wide to cover any errors even with it being equal to a 23mm on the R-D1.
