This is a request for lens adapter information for pre-digital lenses and camera bodies.

I have an assortment of m42-mount lenses and several Konica SLR lenses, and I’d like to be able to get an adapter to use them on other cameras. Eventually my Konica SLRs will wear out and parts will be tough to get, but being able to use the lenses on a new digital rangefinder with a full sized sensor seems like a good plan.

Like everyone else, I have a couple of m39-to-m42 and m42-to-Pentax-K adapters. I also have a Pentacon-to-Pentax-K shift adapter, so my P6 lenses will still be usable in the event 120 and 220 film disappear.

I saw, or think I saw, an m42-to-Kiev/Contax adapter a few months ago. Does anyone make such an adapter? I have an m42-to-Contax/Yashica, but it’s too large for my Kiev. Perhaps this is an Autocad project.

I’m looking for Konica-SLR-to-Kiev/Contax, or even any other digital rangefinder (I think the Konica SLR flange-to-film distance is at least 2mm too short for any other popular SLR or DSLR, but should be able to focus to infinity on many RFs). My guess is that nothing exists and this too will be an Autocad project.

I suppose there’s a table somewhere, but unlike flange-to-film-distance tables, I haven’t found it. Making a list of EB listings sort of works, but I’m not sure how comprehensive or correct it is; Contax/Yashica seems to be different from Contax (Zeiss), and I’m not sure if Voigtlander is the same as CY, Contax II/III or something different.

Does anyone have any links/information to share?

Thanks for the link. It confirms my belief that Konica RF lenses (40mm) could be adapted to work on many rangefinders (~5mm available).

I've been eyeing this adapter (#7598893473, on eb). It's close, but my guess is that the Kiev 17-20 mount internal diameter is larger than the Kiev 2-4, Contax, Leica and many other rangefinder mounts (except perhaps for Nikon RFs), so filing the lugs is useless; this item cannot be made to fit.

Looks like it might be time to power up Autocad, and scan eb some more..
