Lets just say its impossible to find genuine Leica lens pouches for old lenses, namely my collapsible Summi 50.Also I wouldn't mind one for my CZ Sonnar LTM 50 as well.Maybe Lowepro, someone like that.I am not concerned with the look, just the padding.Oh and I am in the UK,so if you have any ideas, then maybe a few suppliers in the UK too......Any ideas??

Seagrams makes a nice drawstring bag, but it is pricey because of the Crown Royal inside. 😀 Actually, a good camping store has a lot of little bags that may fill your needs.

You can find little padded bags at your local photo store or on ebay for cheap...

The sorts of stores that cater to wannabe hippies and Trustafarians (you know, the cotton skirts from India/Guatemalan shoulder bags/hacky sack kinds of places) usually carry inexpensive padded fabric pouches and wallets in a number of different sizes and shapes, in various colors, embroidered, etc.. The inventory at the one I walk by twice a week changes frequently. I'm waiting for a pouch to show up that fits my Summicron.

Chalk bags would work too.

Zing has some really nice neoprene pouches that are the perfect fit for rangefinder lenses. I toss a bag of dessicant in the bottom to keep things dry and then use a different color for each lens. The medium size fits a spare body (sans lens) nicely too.

I'm with Eric...my P is stored in a soft, purple bag. For lenses, try to find the small 'mickie' version of Crown Royal. There is a limited edition bag that would fit a lens really well.

These may not be the best to carry. But for storage their good.

I second erics suggestion - that's what I've been doing

Normal chalk bags can fit a lens or a M6 with collapsable 50mm - but recently I found a massive DMM chalk bag that fits a M6 with 21mm and finder ( I was so happy ) .

The bags go in a discrete unpadded small Timbak2 bag

Ulyssescat, the only truly Leica lens pouches came with Leica or Minolta lenses made for the Leica CL and the Minolta CLE and, as you say, are difficult to find...you might be better off looking for the small brown-leather cases that came with early Leica, Canon, Nikon and Steinhall lenses. You also might consider the transparent plastic cases made for early Leica lenses. All of these should be around in the UK or, as other said, on Ebay or available from people on this and similar sites...The plastic cases have screw caps and should not be too expensive...I believe the 50 Summitar you mentioned came with this kind of case...regards, bob

I have been using neoprene beverage bottle coolers for the lens in my Yashica SLR kit. The fit is not perfect, especially for my 28 & 50mm lens, but at $1 each, I can't really complain.
