Lensmount wear

I just recently got a 40mm nokton for my M6 TTL and I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of wear resulting from mounting the lens only 5 or 6 times. Is this normal? Is there any way i can protect the mount?

What evidence of wear do you have, and just where do you think the wear has taken place? If on the camera, then other lenses too will be a little shaky.

Theres two large shiny areas that werent there before at two and 8 o'clock
