Let's do it!

Glad to hear that!

BTW, when Torv was interviewed by Ellen Degeneres (host of a talk show here in the US), Torv said she had rescued a pregnant stray cat, helped her give birth and by then she was trying to find homes for the kittens. She admitted to loving cats.

When is the X100 scheduled for delivery?

You know, you wouldn't believe it ... I totally forgot to ask that question! LOL

I'll be notified by email when it arrives for local pickup from their Brisbane outlet which is a short drive across town ... and I guess me asking certainly wasn't going to make any difference to the actual delivery date! 😀

Juan - a lovely idea. And a very worthy recipient. Look what can happen in a few short hours. Happily in, and happy Fuji fun Keith.

I was in a course on leadership recently and the topic of "what is a community?" was raised. I pointed to RFF and the many examples of simple humanity and friendship that have arisen here since I first joined. These small acts of thoughtfulness from people who have often never even met face to face enrich us all.

I'll donate a hood and adapter ring 🙂

Wow .. that's a fantastic gesture and very much appreciated.

When I spoke to the guy at the camera dealer's this morning he said he wasn't sure if the associated accessories were arriving with the cameras and couldn't guarantee being able to supply a hood and adapter ring with the camera when I pick it up. With the sort of light we have here in Oz a hood is always a wise option IMO.

I'll PM you my details ... thank you very much again. 🙂

PayPal balance: $1,157.36 AUD

It's 4.30pm Sat here and I'm about to head of to Carol's (the GF's) place and won't be home until this time tomorrow. (Sunday)

The current total is not far away from the $1220.00 they want for the X100 when it gets here and seeing as Precision Camera have been good enough to throw in a lens hood and adapter that's it ... I need nothing else!

Carol doesn't have internet at her place, in fact she doesn't even have electricity, so I won't be able to check in again for twenty four hours. If the total should go slightly over the required amount I'll donate the excess to a charity like World Vision/Save The Children or something similar.

Cheers ... Keith (still absolutely amazed) 🙂

Hello Keith! This is amazing, RFF... what a community! I just wanted to suggest donating to the Christchurch earthquake aid if it goes over. I'm sure you're in touch with whats going on down here.

After one day of feeling settled (21st, University start) I've been shaken into moving to Dunedin.

Oh, this is so beautiful! A great idea, Robert!

All you RFF people have fulfilled my heart, you're just amazing!

Tomorrow we'll get a last update from Keith, and we'll see if the price is being reached... As someone said, we should consider a strap: Get a fancy one, Keith! I guess we'll be close to the end with a few more participants during the next hours...

Cheers,

Juan
