All about it here: http://lilserenity.wordpress.com/milton-keynes-impressionmk/
Some of the photos (not all there as this will be a self-published book) are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lilserenity/sets/72157618590943732/
Much of the street photography is not there as I'm keeping that under wraps but some interesting stuff will appear. I am back up there this weekend for a 3 day jaunt which will all but sew up the project.
Here's some samples:

Virtually all taken on a Leica M2 and 35mm lens (Voigtlander Ultron except for the middle one with flowers and the church, OM2n + 28mm Zuiko)
It's a project I have always wanted to do, in fact I have probably been waiting all my life to explore the place properly and really get my head around it.
It's been utterly engrossing, verging on obsessive!

Sort of a project I guess, a book for my inlaws and their parents as well as other family members I did for Christmas one year.
Geez, what a great idea (and beautiful family). Grandparents must love having a hard-bound brag-book.

Don't know if you'd necessarily call this a 'personal' project, but it was a 2 month project photographing the Food Network's 'Ace of Cakes'. The photos were for a book that was just published by HarperCollins, and the episode of us 'making' the book is on this Thursday the 22nd.

When I think about it
When I think about it
Just about everything I photograph is done with some sort of project in mind...
From 1971: a school bussing protest in DC (click to see the gallery)

I have a fascination with a tree in the little village of Bokeelia in Florida

Some time before John Szarkowski died I did a sort of tribute to his concept of the photographer's eye

I have an ongoing study of the Venice Rookery in Venice Florida

There's a group of old school cyclists who do regular races with bets placed for each heat. These are done along Macapagal Highway in Manila, close to the Mall of Asia.
Basically, twenty Pesos (about US$0.40) gets you in as a contender as your ante, and the winner of each race gets the whole pot (with a required tip to the "organizer"). This is why it's called "Bente-Bente", which means 20-20, the cost of entry.
Then they usually get together and smoke a cig or two.
The set, which is still in it's infancy, is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yophoto/sets/72157622984457480/
I plan to shoot them again this weekend.
