excellent Roland. I'm curious about that first one, was the lens stopped down, or are the branches on the left in focus due to field curvature? Dick Gilcreast in an old LHSA article shows a similar image with close branches on the edge in focus, due to the field curvature of this lens (he apparently was focused on infinity and the close branches would have normally been oof.)

Thanks, Ted. In my case the lens was stopped down to f5.6 or so.

Version 2 50mm Summilux, mid-60s production. I think this would have been something like f/4 or f/5.6.
