do you not like the BP as much? optically? or physically?

i have an E43 (1962) that i love to death, but am looking at one that focuses closer... i'm looking at the BP version mostly because i prefer the knurled focus rather than tabbed).

I love E43 but the focusing ring is not smooth and I love the E46 pre-ASPH BP version much more.
