Let's see your Leica M

I am looking for a small bag for my Bessa R3M w/ Nokton 40 + hood. I was carrying it with a neckstrap...which sucks cuz of the Bessa tilt. I found myself carrying it mostly ...so I am going wriststrap and small bag. I never carry more than one lens...cuz that'a all i have. I don't like to carry alot either. Camera, lens, film.

The Voigtlander LH-5 will fit the 50/2 ZM and it should fit the 35/2ZM as well since the two ZM lenses share the same hood. It actually appears to be the exact same hood, one branded Zeiss the other branded Voigtlander. Contact Stephen Gandy, he'll be able to tell you whether it will work for sure on the 35/2 (although I am 99% certain) but I doubt he'll actually admit its the same hood.

Kyle,

Looking at the pics they are clealy externally identical and assuming the internal bayonet is the same would save $30+ each!

Will look at others to find one for the 28....

try a 5xb.
if you get another lens down the road then you'll have space to carry it.

Yep, another lens, a second body, several rolls of film, an iPod, a couple granola bars, whatever. (just backing you up, again, Joe! :p ) I also put together a small photo album that I tucked inside in the front between the padded compartment and the case itself. Makes it much easier to strike up a conversation with someone about what I'm doing taking pictures of strangers and in everyday settings (funny how that somehow elevates me to being a "photographer" in their eyes. ).

Thanks, it's pretty beat up, the vulcanite has been fixed badly in a few places, the black chrome is wearing off in places, and the veiwfinder is a bit foggy. Mechanically, it's perfect. I have another M4-p in very similar condition.

A while back, I sold one mintish chrome M4 and used the money to buy two beater M4-ps. Why? because the M4 was "too perfect" to use without worrying about it. Now I have two cameras that i don't care too much about. One lives with 125 ASA film, the other with Neopan 1600. I'm happy.

A good move then ! Even if one tries to think that in the end they are just tools and meant to be used, it's true that the first scratch is always a painful one.

Nice. That's the camera I want. In black.

Do you have another M camera? If so, can you copare the size of the 50mm framlines and tell me if they are identical in coverage or if those in the MP3 are a little bigger?

Cheers,

HL

Ahhh, heartbroken again. Just make sure you take care of her, because if you don't... ;)
