I wouldn't mind that Summilux 35mm ASPH.
Here is what I am currently shooting.
M6 which has been CLA'd by Tajika-San in Tokyo. The movement is the smoothest I have ever felt.
Summilux 35mm ASPH final version. Not bad, I would prefer the floating element version though.

Joe, one can see your love to that combo ;-)Thanks, all I need is the viewfinder cleared of dust, and a new camera leather, probably vulcanit, put on it and I don't think I need any other camera, ever. That camera and lens is just perfect, to me anyway.
@Bellamy
Nice M6, why the craving for the FLE - the older ASPH is soooooo much nicer (fits the 12466 hood, which the newer kid doesn't - how lame about the new one ;-)
@Johan
Now that Jon Manjiro has pushed my nose veeeeery close on those 35 1.8 Nikkors, I am quite a sucker for all info on "alike lenses".
Will try a pre ASPH Summilux in TWO DAYS !!! After that will see, if I still crave after those Japanese beauties ;-)

I'd leave it as it is... It just needs a lot of film put through it.

Hmm... according to the ad the shutter isn't working.

... likes film again.
Nice !! Keep the top-, bottom-plate, all levers, rewind-knob and maybe back-door, dump the rest and modify an ugly cosmetical condition but mechanically well working silver M2 with the black-paint parts and you have a genuine (# SN) BP M2 for a bargain price.

Yes, hopefully most of the internals will be salvageable. If not then worst case, a donor M2 will suffice.

thank you very much Johan, its nice to have it back on my M3. i like the collapsible summicron a bit better for regular shooting but for night time its a no brainer
Lem! That is a nice kit! And Tri-X ready to load!
Really looking forward to seeing the shots you will get from that: great eye + great lens = great shots, for sure!

$100 !!!! and I thought my sub $400 chrome M4 was a steal. You scored! On the bright side for me I have a film in it and it works like a charm.
It's a long way to go before film will go in...one reason is it is missing the take up spool.

Another Hummm....
Negative feedback from the $100 buyer - "Dishonest seller. Full of lies."
Not sure what that's about since I bought it in person and not off ebay.
One corner ding, the rest is ok. Will hammer that out.
