Beautiful !
+ it always makes me happy when I read about somebody having had their vintage M re-silvered instead of selling it for parts or worse - keep 'em alive!
EDIT - I have a nasty thought when I see your grey M2 with that Summicron - what about airbrushing the outer surface of the lens hood in the same finish as the camera body (think model paint and a working protective clear coat)?

Thx, it's the first one I've personally had re silvered and the 2nd I've had. It's very reasonably priced considering the cost of a new finder and Peter at CRR is, as always very helpful. He does a fantastic job and the finder is as new and a delight to focus. His turn round time for me was 4 days!
I would also like to publicly thank Will and Cathy from Camera Service NL for showing me how to align the secondary prism to centre the framlines.
As far as painting a hood goes, I think it would look nice for about 10 minutes with me juggling it in my Billingham!

Only now do I realise how so beautiful the "Leitz" logo on top the M4 really is!

My Leica MP in the garden of the "Charmettes" house, close to Chambery in Savoy, where Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the french writer and philosopher lived for some years.
I was making a serie of pictures in low light for an exhibition organized by the Chambery Museum.

My M2 took a fall onto some cement this past weekend. Aside from the dent, it still works perfectly!
