Martin,
You seem to be very happy with your M2. And - what´s more - you found a wonderful new companion - it´s a ´cron from the 60s, yes?
Thanks for sharing your happiness.

yes I'm realy happy with her,
but I don't know wich age the 'cron is.
It's from my favorit dealer in Konstanz.
Even the leicameter.

The best camera is one that still works!

Thanks ... yes ... mine's a KM which I'm told is M mount and a fair bit larger than the UC ... and different construction. It'll be spending a lot of time on the M8 ... it's a great lens.
Some serious M8 gas on this page!
A 'lowly' M4-2 with Summilux 50mm and Luigi's 'eco' half case.
I like the M4-2 as it isn't flashy, no red dot, unassuming; a blue-collar Leica if there is such a thing.

It might be the most M8 heavy page on this thread!

well... this is my very first post. i'd like start off by saying hi and by sending a round of compliments to the owners of all the nice gear that made this thread a true pleassure to read. i'm new to the world of RF cameras and reading this forum has helped me a great deal to determine the path i'd like to go.
here's my newly purchased m6, a black 50mm summicron is still on the way, hence an older 'cron sibling is being used for my first baby steps.
cheers!

Hi photonium,
Welcome. I am also quite new here and had a lot of help here too. Your gear looks very similar to mine, when you get the cron. I guess that is the advice we get from this site.
I like the M6 with only the "M6" on the front - special.

thanks lance and simon for the welcome!
regarding the big logo m6... i didn't even know such variations existed until i started reading this thread. if you look at the logo placement of the current m7 & 8, one could get the impression that our leicas were just a wee bit ahead of their time!
the first two rolls of film are currently being developed and i'm eagerly awaiting the results!
