Let's see your Leica M

Just like that, I was able to pick up another Elmar-M rather cheaply locally. Super underrated lens. I don't know how many times I bought and sold this lens. Not lens' fault. Every time I get out of M body, I sell it, and every time I get back into M, I re-buy... This time, hopefully this combo will stay for good.

Here's my Leica M (and friend) collection:

Left to right:
M10-R + Summilux 35mm f/1.4 (preASPH)
M10 Monochrom + Summaron-M 28mm f/5.6 (light green filter and hood)
IIIc + Color-Skopar 28mm f/3.5 + Leica 28mm Viewfinder
M4-2 + SMC-Pentax-L 43mm f/1.9 Special

It's a lovely kit! :D

After stupidly selling one over a decade ago, I am once again with an MP in BP.View attachment 4842710

I only have one rule when it comes to my Leicas: never sell. This only applies to lenses and film bodies, however. Not that I’ve ever sold any of my camera equipment. I’ve certainly sold a couple of my Rolexes, including an Explorer I that I never really bonded with. I put the money from the last Rolex I sold into a Leica M4 BP and a 28 Elmarit-M ASPH … 😎

This M4 is my first Leica and I don’t have and lenses yet. I likely can’t afford Leica lenses for a minute but have a nice used Zeiss 50 and Voightlander 28 coming this week. I asked a friend if he had a “beater” he’d let me borrow for a few days. No beaters but he brought me this very nice. 50mm Summilux 50 1.4 so I can run through a roll this weekend. 😄IMG_6823.jpeg

Strong Confirmation. Never sell anything with "Leica" written on it. Sooner or later you´ll regret.

Yep, I've owed a IIIf forever and decided to buy a M2 recently because it was a good deal and recently CLAed. Within the following year I also bought an M5 and had it CLAed and a just-CLAed M4. Do I need them? No, of course not. But they will all appreciate with time (the M2 is in good condition, the M4 and M5 are excellent). In the mean time, I get to use them - kinda like free rental.
