Let's see your Leica M

Here's my 'new' M2 with MR meter that I finally got this week (see attachment)

Not bad for £300 I thought :)

Oooh! Rally case! My favourite!

Congrats and enjoy using it in good health...:)

It's a lovely case. Well made too. The best part of the acquisition was dealing directly with Luigi. He made the process fun.

Plus the look on my wife's face was priceless when I opened my gift from her. :D

Mark, that's a great case! Excellent taste. :)

I have a similar one in rally for the Ikon, but with the "bubble grip." I'm wondering how you like this style grip? I wanted to pick up a matching one for the M8 but unsure about the grips...

I like the built in grip. Seems very solid. How do you like your Ikon? I've been thinking about getting one but have never seen one in person. Seems most folks like them but I wonder how durable they are.

Best Wishes,

The MP-3 on the left: is that a blanking-plate where the self-timer should be? It looks almost like a battery cover!

It is a battery cover. Internally the MP-3 is pure MP, including the light meter.

One other question about the MP-3 if I may: what frame lines does it have? Are they M3-style or M2-style?

As I recall, the viewfinder on these was 0.72x with M2-style individual frames for 35, 50 and 90mm. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

I feel so much better now about my 4 m and 2 ltm bodies, and a few extra 50mm lenses.

jesus I thought I had too much gear. That just absolved any guilt I might have had about four or five bodies that dont get as much action as they should.
