Let's see your Leica M

Nice daxingwuxiang.

My humble BP M3 with Tanaka Kogaku Tanar 5cm f/2.

This body reached me yesterday, having been posted by Don Goldberg on 25 January. I decided to get a relatively expensive overhaul because this is probably the film instrument which I shall use for the rest of my years.

It is close in serial number to the one I had from 1985 to 2002. Same features. That had a SBLOO finder permanently mounted, this will have the Nikon finder seen in the photo.

I must say that I am impressed with the feel of the Griptac covering.

Payasam that M3 looks so cool. That setup must be an excellent street shooter :)

Very nice, Mukul. So I hope you'll add another six or so pictures to your signature line ;)

Cheers

regards john

Look fabulous, Mukul !

Rob, Kozhe, Ivo, John, Roland, David: thank you all. An M2 would arguably be better than an M3 wearing a wart, but there's sense in taking what one gets. Often there's no option, so...

Longevity in half centuries, Rob? I shall have to forget the demography I learnt -- and, more important, begin to believe in rebirth so that I may come back as a, say, albino cockroach with a taste for potassium ferricyanide.

The last photo in the Darwin Series is three years short of a decade old. Perhaps Sean Moran, who took the photo in my "avatar" two years ago and has seemingly disappeared from RFF, will visit India again with his Summicron.

Mukul, you're only as old as you feel (and think).
