Let's see your Leica M

Thanks jcruncher!

Trust me, these Leicas and my M2 in need of repair are just the latest (and greatest) additions to a 40+ camera collection. I shoot everything from 35mm, 120, Polaroid, instax and digital of course and get just as much fun from an LCA or SX70 as I do from a "proper" camera.

I need lenses now!

This was my holiday combo this year:

M3 with 50mm Summicron and a small pocket is all I need. I just love it!

When my girlfriend looked through the finder, she said: "wow, better than reality!"

really really nice , I love m3 , I'm waiting for mine ready in eseptember after a big cla, yours seems new .......

Wow Chris, that cute little Summaron dwarfs the CL !!!
Nice deal you figured out there with the M6.
If you ever feel like the zinc issue bugs you, but the M6 is liked otherwise, there are dealers, who sell Leica top decks and backdoors, while a technician could transplant those, while having a "look under the hood".

It would cost you maybe the cost of 50% of a nice M6, to do that.

Chris -Focusing is rather easier. Much easier than I anticipated, the little knob at the bottom can even be used when I have a half case on. But changing aperture is a pain as it moves the focus and when the hood is on (it's tiny too but screws into the front of the lens) it is harder to change aperture. I'm sure I'll learn some tricks, but the lens makes the M pocketable which is really nice. So I have been setting aperture and then focusing and usually on an AE body works best.

Juan - Thanks!

Newly acquired M7 to replace (better looking) m6, with newly found Canon 50mm viewfinder (from one of parent's junkboxes) and newly made DIY strap. Together with newly acquired GR1s on top of newly acquired, lovely Retrospective5 and newly acquired shades.

Almost forgot. Shot taken with newly acquired GRD3. Now GAS is (almost) completly gone...

Always a good idea to point your Leica with wide open lens straight at the sun :) In full sunlight that could burn through your shutter very fast.

My trusty M7 having lunch in San Francisco about a month ago. 50 'Cron, A&A Silk Strap (love it BTW!).

...and here's another day with that M7 chowing down again.
