Let's see your Leica M

I decided to try a couple of bricks just because it's cheap. It scratches way too easy but other than that it's sort of OK. I'd rather have a brick of HP5+ or Tri-X though...

I hope I'm not posting at the wrong thread... but here's mine.

M9 with 50 Cron.

I've never seen one on a camera, only what they look like on their own. From the pictures, I thought they'd be bigger...

Kind of expensive for such a small piece of metal:

$50?? Are they joking? Tom Abrahamsson's soft releases are half that and look nicer. Plus, you can support Tom by buying one. No way would I pay $50 for ANY soft release, especially when $25 gets you one from someone we know and want to support.

They may or may not allow you to shoot steadier but they are quite good at getting your camera stuck on things like threads, weeds, clothing... until they fall off.

In general, I think A&A products are worth the price. I have an A&A case and strap and while simple in design, the craftsmanship and functionality is great. However, I do think their soft release is a rip off (what's funny is that it isn't even listed on the official site and only that one store seems to carry them).

I have a ladybug soft release, not so much for its functionality, but because it looks nice and is a good conversation piece!

I'm more of a fan of the match technical soft releases... but I'm with frank, I'm not sure they actually do any good. I have fat fingers, so I like them... but as far as getting me to handhold at slower shutter speeds, I haven't seen it.

Well ... I have a couple of Tom's soft releases and happen to like them. :)
