What kind of viewfinder is that? I've never seen one of those.

I think that's the lens hood sitting above the camera. Does look like a viewfinder when you first see it.

+1 Back in my racing days a friend fell while riding his track bike in his yard and the bar punctured the artery in his groin. Fortunately he was a doctor and was able to stop the bleeding otherwise he would have died in about 16 seconds.
