Just got my M2 back from repair, which means I finally have something to mount the Nokton 50/f1.5 on, two months after buying it!

I really dig this combo. How are you finding the Nokton? I have a chrome version with a new (to me) M4. Have been really happy with it but took me a week or so to get used to the ergonomics.
Interesting... I like your lug protectors. Did you make these yourself?
Yes. Cut from a plastic 35mm film can.

M2Top by David Fincher, on FlickrThat's a real beauty. Enjoy your twilight years. I, too, plan on retiring in about 50 years. HeheI once had an M2 with a 50 and 35F2 Summicron lens. I had gotten into studio work and doing weddings/family reunions and felt the need for a medium format camera. Long story short, I traded the Leica equipment in and regretted not just buying the medium format cameras/lens straight out and keeping the M2.
That was back in the late 80's. Now being retired as of two years ago I got the urge to get back into film again and found a super nice M2 I couldn't resist and bought a Zeiss 50 f2 Planar lens to accompany it. the lens will be here tomorrow but the camera won't-maybe Friday. This is a pic of the M2 I just bought.

I'll take it off your hands if it is too strange. LOL. enjoy.😱'69 M2-R and '68 M4. Strange owning an M2 made after the M4.
