Damn it I want to have my IIIg repainted OD Green so bad. I really like my M3 with silver but would definitely want to do it in black maybe too. Maybe one day I'll have some cash laying around and can afford to send one of them to Kanto.

I love those Safari green or Khaki cameras, but I refuse to be driven by fashion.

There's a difference in doing it because it's a trend and doing it because you genuinely like it. I've always loved the green and black M cameras but I know I'll never be able to afford a real one and even if I could scrape the funds together I'd probably not want to use it as much. Hence the reason I'd love to have a repaint.

Legends never die - they became legends as they are forever like rotring pens, Nikon SP cameras or the single most amazing calculator ever created (no, not the iPhone).
The fun thing is that old gear will never get old, it just doesn't even get broken - and if it does, you just fix it.
That rotring 600 ball pen writes for me for more than 20 years and I am absolutely convinced it will still write just fine when the PCBs of that Leica M Mono are long dissolved into dust.
It might probably still be outlived by that Nikon SP body if someone takes good care of it after I am long dead
That very SP though is largely responsible for the fact that after I got it, the MM has not advanced a single frame ever since. Nikon RF's are just soooo gooood!

Dirk, good taste in........calculators! I use an app on my phone that is the closest to my HP32s that I can get. Love that thing!
Hey, that looks familiar.
How are you liking it?

I've never liked that two stage advance lever. M3/2 lever feels perfect for me too. If I ever pick up another M body as a backup/2nd body I'd love to get a beater M4-2/P and just swap off the advance levers for an M3/2 and call it a day.

Should I have bought another M? No. Am I glad I did? Absolutely.

Thanks! I use the PCcalc app on the phone.
All normal calculators are broken to me and I have troubles using them. HP RPN calcs are just so logical ;-)
