My new GX from the Salvation Army store for $10 including case.

and my battery solution:
It's designed for 2 x PX640. In one bay I stuck 2 x LR44 batteries and a little bit of aluminium foil to pack it out as it's just a bit loose otherwise.
In the other bay, I stuck an old spring I had lying around from an old battery holder!

So much PORN i may just have to turn the computer off and take a very cold shower.
I use 4LR44 batteries in my GSN but I'm considering 4SR44 instead the LR is 6v and SR 6.2 will it make a difference?
I want a lens hood any good ones out there?
How about eyecups? yes, no or what the hell?

The GSN is not too picky about precise battery voltage. You can read more about it here.

For lens hoods, I use the original 57mm Yashica slip-on hood. I do use a 52mm 'W' hood that I bought from 'heavystar' on ebay in my 35 CC and it works great.

As to eyecups, I have never heard such thing exists for the Electro series.
 
The S&W WA hoods that Heavystar sells are the closest equivilent to the original Yashica hoods as far as depth of the hood is concerned. Never a problem with vignetting, and I have several of them for my various models.

And unless you want to glue it on, the Yashicas were not designed for eyecups. One could retrofit a surround from another camera brand SLR to the back of the top cover so that it will take a slide-on type cup.

One of my favorites, the preliminary version of the Yashica Professional, and the first black Yashica Electro 35 produced. It took a long time for me to find one in good working condition.

I see the insert image button but when I use it, it asks for the image url.

I just sold one of those on the big auction site. My version had the "Professional" sticker as well. Yours looks pristine...

These really are nice cameras, but hard to find. Getting a working model is even harder. This is the 5th one which I have found in the last year, but the only one which works. I won it at an auction for nearly nothing because the front lens element had somehow developed a crack which passed completely through the glass, almost like a temperature-induced fracture. I had a new-in-the-box GT which didn't work, so I transplanted the lens elements from it.

This one came with it's original case, and the metal lens hood. It is now a good shooter, I plan to take it out and use it shortly.

If your image is not hosted in some website so you can use the URL, then you can only attach (little paper clip icon) the image file to your post. Like so: (from my GSN)

I'd definitely like to see some images you make with that old black beauty.
 
Your problem is not the forum, you need to get and learn how to use image editing software to resize your images. Size limit for the forum galleries is 200KB, if I remember correctly.

You'll need to post in another, more appropriate thread to ask about image editing software or use Google

Jeff, that Professional looks terrific! Do you think these cameras are now in rougher shape than the GT's and GTN's?
