So, the Leica Historical Society of America's meeting on April 20, 2018 will be in the wonderful old southwestern city of Santa Fe, NM. Things finally work out and I will be there, probably on my BMW motorcycle from El Paso.
I am wondering if anyone else here is going. If you have any questions about Santa Fe or New Mexico, post here and I will try and answer.

Been to Santa Fe many times... if you get a chance try Harry's Roadhouse on Old Las Vegas Highway. No connection to the place or the owners... just love the food.

Does one have to be LHSA member to attend? I live down the road in ABQ.

Don't know about having to be a member. They seem to get together about twice a year and this is the first one where I don't have another trip planned or it is close enough. Membership is $60/year with a pretty good magazine devoted to an immense amount of Leitz trivia. Photos are so-so in my opinion.

I would be interested in going to this, not as much interest in joining just to join but I'll do some more looking and see if I find value in the mag.
I'd likely be riding my V-strom unless I decide to take a car to bring more gear or if weather is crap. Not a fan of riding the moto with NM's high/gusty winds compared to relatively tranquil riding on the west coast.
