Hi
Does anybody know for how much this lens is selling at the moment? Condition is mint- included all original papers, box, leica lens pouch and front and rear cover.
Thanks in advance
Gian

Assuming it's the E46 version with the built-in hood, about $1300-1400. Add about $400-500 if it's a black paint version of the pre-asph. 50 Summilux.

No, the E46 price quoted above is most likely for a regular pre-asph 50 Summilux. I'm not sure about a pre-asph LHSA version...didn't know there was one. Recently Popflash sold a black paint LHSA 50/1.4 Summilux ASPH in brand new condition for around $3000 to $3300 on the big auction site. I don't know the actual price because the auction was stopped early. Apparently these are very rare versions because they have no focus tab, use E43 filters, come with a presentation box, are all brass, and were made in very limited quantities (only about 150 lenses sold separately from the black paint LHSA body), if I recall correctly. There's one on the big auction site now but it's used and being sold without the original accessories.

Perfect timing on this thread - I have one for sale (not LHSA) and was wondering.

I'm kind of new into Leica, that's why that question came up! I have the chance to pick up a Leica 0.72 MP with all its boxes, papers and in like new condition, included the black paint summilux 1.4/50mm which focuses to 0.7m... all paperwork, boxes lens pouch etc. is included, condition is close to new.
the price which I can get this set is at 3200.00 Euro... what do you guys think? worth or not worth?

The price is reasonable - close to US$4K. I think an MP in very good shape would go for $2.2 or $2.3K, so $1800 for the lens is maybe about right. That sounds like a very nice rig, I would be tempted!

Oh, I know someone selling brand new black paint 50 Summilux pre-asph lenses for $2200 (usually they sell new for about $2600), so that sounds about right. I got confused because that is just a black paint version and not an official LHSA model, is it?

A Black Paint 46 Pre Asph Summilux 50 was made in conjunction with the LHSA M6 TTL Black Paint and sold with the camera but not as a set and not identified as a LHSA on the lens. They also made a 35 Black Paint ASPH and a 90 Black Paint pre asph at the same time.

Only one correction to add to this: The black paint 90 from that period is the APO ASPH model.

I'm pretty sure that the 90 black paint is an APO ASPH rather than a pre-asph...
