I was thinking of the death part, not the skin part.

Sometimes i'm happy,
Sometimes i'm blue.
My disposition depends on you.

The best camera is one that still works!
I've just had a look in the wanted to trade section Joe ... RD-1.
That surprises me ... you seem to like the shorter focal lengths and the 1.5 crop factor could be an issue regarding your current lenses?
No doubt you've weighed up all the pros and cons ... interesting decision though!

Blake and Fred, you guys are sick, but in a wacky sort of way.

Usually when people say "life is short" they're about to order a Noctilux

One more thing.
You look good in blue.

easy decision as i doubt anyone will take me up on it.
i would use the zm 25 lens primarily and keep it simple.

Ah ... of course, the 25mm Biogon ... gives close to 35mm at 1.5 crop.
I find your interest in getting an RD-1s far more exciting than the prospect of a ZI with blue covering sorry!
... incidentally I think all that kit for an RD-1 is a pretty good deal for anyone who takes you up on it ... and I hope someone does!

That sounds like a plan Joe. Enjoy!
I've decided since life is indeed short, and my current gig is up soon that I'll be starting my Cumbres & Toltec Black & White project later this year. I'll have to decide which cameras to use, but I'm thinking of the GSN and the CL, plus an A-1 for the telephoto part.
Anyine else contemplating a personal project? Hey, lizard and goat skin coverings are cool, but let's see where we can take a life is short thread without getting it closed...

I would like to start a project but not sure what yet. I have read of some photographers doing a grid project in their city and Im thinking of something similar. Very longterm sort of thing. Lifelong really.

just wanted to point out that i have never been anti digital but that over the years i have mostly used rf cameras.
the desire for an rd1 now is stimulated by a shortage of time mostly and my insatiable curiosity about gear.
