Light Leak or...

Testing a new camera & this showed up on every photo in the 1st roll. Sorry, won't upload - photos show a vertical bar about 1/3 in from left side. It's in the same place & same size on all photos. Camera shop said they thought the shutter was "dragging", but since pictures were exposed correctly, I'm thinking a light leak. Any thoughts or suggestions?

If it's consistently in the same place it's most likely mechanical...is the stripe darker or lighter that the rest of the photo...
If it's a light leak the negative will show the stripe through to the edges...if it stays within the image area it is not a light leak...

Try another roll using as many different shutter speeds as possible...see what happens...

Thanks much. It is lighter & goes the whole width, so I'm believing it's a leak. Now just to find it!

a photo would really help, are you having problems uploading or is the photo sensitive ?

I once played around for a week on a similar problem, and then figured out the problem was my scanner!
