Light meter in C35EF3 and POP - identical or not ?

Hi all,
I have replaced dead light meter on EF3 but it's different type and narrows usable film range to ISO400 which should be exposed at ISO25. EF3 has squarish meter with shining surface, very distinct from those round or round-with-cut with visible metal hair on, like we see in Electro's and many other cameras.

I would pick up POP as meter donor, maybe it's meter will work better. On POP meter is located above lens and just warns about underexposure (well, POP has fixed 1/125 speed).
Would be nice if anybody could spare me dismantle of POP, before I buy another one (I'm waiting for one, but it comes with box and seems so clean that I lean towards keeping it :) ). On both cameras ISO goes up to ISO400, and Konica would get off easier just using same meter on both models, on other way - if they make cheaper model, they could spare not only on lens, but also on rest of camera.

Probably anyone can point me to some resorces on this...TIA !

I got POP and....wow ! No, I can not dismantle such beauty for parts, as in my understanding it's UNUSED at all ! All black, no even finger traces. In box were even Konica's "hints for better photographs" or so in German, 1 year warranty and list of service centers. Light sealing is OK and seems that Konica learned lesson and for POP used another material, not like for C35 EF3 which comes with gut like all those real RF's from past.
It's aperture is about same size and same diamond shape like light meter's blades on Electro 35, maybe a bit bigger :) Shutter release button wider than on EF3.
I'm urged to shoot roll.

Congrat's! I have a Konica POP, too. I bought it basically due to my good impression with its predecessor, C35 EF3. Domestic name for this camera is "Konica EFJ", which further reveals the family ties.

Being a single-speed fixed focus, its 36mm/f4 Hexanon lens seems almost an overkill! It even has a standard 43mm filter thread, again nicely in common with EF3.

Thanks ! Times ago most Konicas carried "hexanon" on lens barrel. I have Konica MG which also says so, and seems to be sharp, when used right.

I see that there's very similar model to EFJ/POP - C35 EFP with hexanon 38mm/F4 + fixed speed 1/125, taking pair of AA batteries to warn when ambient light is too low (same as POP). Yeah, it's 38mm instead of POP's 36mm, big deal.
Would be nice as gift to some friend with all-digital-gear :)

I decided to translant photocell from another P&S camera which I have on table, and not hunt specifically POP (EF3's come so rare) because EF3 is f2.8 instead of POP's f4 and not necessary have same photocell. In case mine doesn't work acceptably, I will get another POP to look for sure, maybe it's same cell with resistors added to circuit.

And what I did ? I bid on same black, seldom used, clean looking POP and won without fight ! Some my friend will have a gift from eighties, what to say :)
