I've been pretty comfortable with LR4 so far, the coolest new things for me seem to be the auto level and the context aware brush. but not sure if it is worth the upgrade price.

Yeah downloaded it today and watched a couple videos on new features. Looks a winner. Will try some edits tonight.

I expect that, in typical Adobe fashion, even though I don't "need" to upgrade (i.e. Lightroom 4 does everything for me - as did Lightroom 2.1 before that) I'll "have to" upgrade because camera makers will continue to create "unique" RAW files which will not be supported in earlier versions.....

the other feature that might interest people who manage very large libraries and use external hard disks is the Smart Previews that allow you to make edits based upon a smaller size of the file and have them merged together afterwards. i would think that you wouldn't be able to make as precise edits in the Detail section however.

Three major additions that I really like are:
- Advanced Healing Brush
- Upright
- Radial Gradient

Seems like a boon for film guys like me -- touching up dust and hair from negative scans. Have not tried it, will need to do so.
