Lightroom 6.13 update...does it work now?

Just wondering if other "perpetual" LR users have done this update considering the problems encountered? Yesterday I see there is a new update for Lightroom 6, probably one of the last before Adobe leaves it an orphan: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2017/10/lightroom-6-13-now-available.html

This morning I see on my Adobe Updater that LR 6.13 is available. So I started to update it but then I saw this: https://petapixel.com/2017/10/26/adobe-updater-deletes-lightroom-6-heres-get-back/

Adobe says they fixed the problem. Right now I'm not really interested in being the first to test the fix. Has anyone here done the 6.13 update? Is it working correctly now?

it works now, updated yesterday evening.

However, I don't believe for a second, that the forced CC install was a bug or mistake...

I downloaded 6.13 Thursday night and it installed without any glitches.

Hello,

it works now, updated yesterday evening.

However, I don't believe for a second, that the forced CC install was a bug or mistake...

It was a move by Adobe to kill the LR6 "owned" version and force the subscription model. The people at Adobe are the greediest people I have ever worked with. Even though you paid for LR, Adobe feels it's theirs and not yours. Just my opinion on the matter.
