My 5L Sling in black arrived. I'm in a bit of a rush getting ready to go traveling in a couple of days while doing all my end of year - holiday stuff, but I had a little time this morning to experiment with fitting it and seeing how it will work for what I want to carry.
- The bag fits snugly and will not slide around when I'm on either the bicycle or motorcycle. There just enough range of adjustment to work well as a bandolier-worn sling, and it will also work well as a waist bag for the motorcycle.
- The iPad Pro 9x7 model, in its case with keyboard fitted, does fit but is not a quick "drop in, pull out" ... This is fine with me, I don't normally need to slip it in and out quickly when I'm on the move, but if you do that kind of thing this bag is a little tight unless you use this size tablet without a case. The compartment is nicely padded so a case isn't really necessary, but I like have the Smart Cover for the keyboard with the device.
- The interior has enough room to hold my Leica M-D with my usual two-lens carry, and there's just enough room to stuff a third lens in too. There's also enough room to carry a spare battery, some extra storage cards, the SD Card to Lightning adapter, the tripod adapter plate, and my other set of glasses in their case (although that's a squeeze).
- Wallet, AirPods, and phone fit in the front pocket.
Overall, it seems good. I won't get to put it to use on the bikes until next year, but I think it will work out well.
