Any comments on the lens detection menu entry ?

Probably the same as in the M8? I can choose "off", "on", "on with IR"

What are the indentations on the viewfinder ring, behind the lettering in this shot?

Seems like the viewfinder ring is fitted using small screws, or what?

And, in the M8 menu, the Advance setting is located elsewhere in the menu!

Agreed. They have cut and spliced footage of an M8, an S2, and what must be the new M9.
The new M body is certainly physically different from the M8. The first thing that I noticed looking at the video is that some of those dimensions just don't "look" right. Taller and thinner I think. Then there's the screws in the eyepiece. The new location of the "advance" feature could just be a new firmware, but the screws and the dimensions are clues that genuine M8 owners looking at the video frame-by-frame would notice. Clever.

This is the first convincing evidence I have seen that a new M is on the way. I won't be able to afford one for about 4 or five years, but I'm still very happy to see it announced.
