Hello...
Thought some locals might want to know about an upcoming photography reception and show at a photography gallery in downtown Palo Alto.
The show is the work of 18 local photographer that are part of Stanford's annual exhibition workshop for emerging Bay Area photographers.
Here's a link:

The reception is this Friday night (3-7-08) at 7pm, at Modernbook Gallery, 494 University Ave in Palo Alto. Modernbook is a great photography only gallery.
These Stanford workshop receptions are pretty social - somewhere around 400-500 people coming by to bs about phoography, have some snacks/wine, and look at prints.

Well-known
Thanks Brad...although I can't make it (there's no way I'm heading to Palo Alto from the City on a Friday night) it's good to know what's going on in the local scene.

Looks interesting. Theres a fifty-fifty chance I can make it tonight.

I went there yesterday. Among their current showing works, the landscape of Robert Kato is quite refreshing.
I also came across the book "Hong Kong Yesterday" by Hong Kong photography Fan Ho, which is very interesting.
