Lomo Russar+ 20mm/5.6 LTM/M

so the original is less expensive and probably better build (despite quality control issues). I'd get a Heliar...

The thing that struck me was the heavy vignetting (light fall off) into the corners. The text says that one of the advantages of the design is that the corners have double the illumination that they otherwise would have. With the rear element so close to the digital sensor, perhaps this is an artifact with digital cameras only? The rays from the corners of the frame have to hit the sensor at a very acute angle. If it is not so bad on film, it might be intriguing.

The frustrating aperture control at the front (blocked if using a filter) is there also.

I'm not in a hurry to lose my CV 21, but there must be some reason why they decided to update and bring out this lens.

Looks pretty sweet, but $650 for an f5.6 lens? Can't really justify that right now. Quick check on the bay found several originals - around or greater than the list for the new one.
