KEH
Well-known
Friends,
Inspired by Peter Bilitch, I picked up an M-Rokkor 40/2.0 from KEH. Very pleased so far (see attached), but I need a little more experience with the lens - and some sunshine.
One thing I noticed - there is a relatively long 'throw' from infinity to closest focus, compared with my other lenses (CV, ZI). While this might slow things down a bit, it also seems to offer a little more precision in focusing.
Anybody else have thoughts / experience with this?
Cheers,
Kirk

I think this is built into the faster lenses as an aid in focusing. I have a 50/f2.8 Elmar-M and a 50/f1.4 Summilux and there is definitely a longer throw on the Summilux. Personally I like a slightly longer throw.
