Look what came in the mail

50mm finally came in yesterday. I was worried because I got it for a steal off eBay, but it's in incredibly mint condition. Came with front and rear caps as well!

For my freaking out about this camera, I refer you to the "What have you just BOUGHT?" and "Contaxt T, anyone?" threads :)

Although I have to admit it came in yesterday's mail. Does it still count? ;)

Enna Sandmar lens for Argus C3. I've always wanted one, but kept balking at buying a lens for such a cheap camera. Can't wait to try it out.

Oops, another Argus. I've always wanted a pre-war copy. This thing seems nearly twice as heavy as the post war C3. Everything is chromed brass - no aluminum (at least on the outside). The lens weighs at least twice as much as the postwar version.

Unfortunately the cocking lever is fatigued and cracked... zinc pest - I never heard of this being a problem before with Arguses. So I need to find a replacement. Camera is excellent otherwise.

stuff that has come in the mail in the past 24hrs....

pictured:
Hasselblad 500C with Planar 80mm f2.8
Proxars 0.5, 1.0 & 2.0
B50 to 55mm step-up ring
B&W 55mm UV filter
Sekonic L-308S

not pictured:
Gordy neck strap (for my Olympus OM-1)
Sigma Mini-Wide 28mm f2.8 (for my Olympus OM-1)

obviously i've been spending $$$ like an insane person.... :bang: but i am beyond happy. :D i finally have the camera of my dreams, a wide-angle lens and a light meter! the light meter being pretty important as 3 out of 4 of my current cameras have no light metering at all.

The CV35/1.2 II just arrived, and looks pretty cool on my GXR. Will do some shooting on the weekend!

A lovely 58 year old Zorki 1 with Industar-22 (50/3.5) lens. She may not be a Leica, but I don't currently have a job...

Nikon 5cm 2.0 Japan LTM. A wonderful lens that I foolishly sold, but that I bought again at RFF. I am dying to try it out again.

Not in the post, but found at the local market: a very nice Canon QL19, in hard case with original strap and a working mercury battery! A good buy at $20.

Thrift store

Thrift store

Canon FT QL with a 55mm FL 1.2 for 200 .Its been there for 4 months and started at 499 way to much. The glass looks fantistic and the body seem to function ok. How ever the battery terminal is corroded but I think it can be cleaned nicely. I'll run a roll through it and see,but the lens was what I wanted:)

Did run a roll and looks to be. OK.camera went to rff'er in FL. As a freebee.
