I was able to get the rare Rokkor 3.5cm f/3.5 lens for my Minolta Super A rangefinder. It came yesterday. I have it mounted to the camera and hope to do some shooting today.

Finally, the lens it's here. I just miss the camera now...
It's a nice Elmar 2.8 from the 1962. A clean specimen.

Wayne, you are really packing them in, I like those fixed lens cameras myself.
I visited your site as well, very nice work.

Ducky,
No need to worry about me abandonning the fixed lens rangefinders, I like them too much for that. I'm just branching out a bit and the Super A is a Minolta after all. Thanks for the props on my photos.
Now to show that fixed lens rangefinders are not off my list, here's what came in the mail yesterday.

it came today. Leica I might send to CLA, as it feels like needing one. lets see, havent put a film through it yet though.
peeping through the Voigtlander finder, its WIIIIIIDE ! nothing I've used before. my widest so far was 28, and even that sometimes felt like half the planet

Ride, dive, shoot.
Right after I got the IIIf (2 posts up), I put an ad here for Elmar 50/3.5 and I finally received a very good copy from a fellow RFF member. Now the IIIf's got its true love.
Now I just need a SBOOI to complete the IIIf kit (for now).

I'd say someone stole your password and they're using you as a spambot. When e-mails don't send, Yahoo will (or any other e-mail provider) send you a message that says that the e-mail couldn't be delivered. Try running some anti-spyware, ant-virus software on your computer, then change your password to something with both cases (upper and lower) letters, numbers

50mm f/1.5 Summarit..
KEH BGN rated !!
, but not too cheap mind you.
50mm f/1.5 Summarit S#: 954395 Wetzlar. Anyone have a link to S# and when it was made? Curious, that's all. I'm guessing late 40's or early 50's. Pre M3. I have heard that later models had M adapters factory installed to convert SM stock to make them easier to sell.
Now waiting for the 50/75 adapter....
But it sure looks clear and very clean. The Chrome is in VG shape..no real dings or scratches, or wear marks...Under rated by KEH...Like everybody witnesses...But the f/stop dot is at 3 O-Clock not 12.. Normal? Won't effect function. Stops are nicely clicked, and there is an added none clicked f/22 +/- it seems.. but diffraction may make it useless. Blades show no oil. There are so may blades...lost count. Rear threads are in good shape, Front threads are in good shape.

95,000 were made in 1952...?
so I have #4395....so 7,916 lenses were made a month? Sounds high...unless it include all focal lengths, I guess.
So mine may have been made in January week 2 or so in 1952...
So I'm 5 in Jan 2010, and the lens (Kitty) is 58 in Jan 2010..
OK...
M5 (Bubba) was born in March 1973.. 2nd week (37)
Summarit (Kitty), was born January 1952.. 2nd week (58)
I'm 56
I guess Bubba likes older women

What I needed to put that gorgeous Summarit (Kitty) on my M5 (Bubba), I bought the film and belt pack.,
The belt pack will hold a telephoto and a normal or wide lens plus some film.

I feel kinda chintzy next to some of you power hitters. A fully functional, pristine Minolta Hi-Matic E arrived today. Nothing fancy, but it slides right into my Hi-Matic collection.

Don't be intimated at all....
You'd be surprised how many own this great RF compact.
It's got a sharp lens, and is well built.. enjoy it. We enjoy all RF images
