I feel like the luckiest guy on earth.

I'm so excited I can not go to sleep!

Now I need to get some paper!

Gone are the days of high-res scanning and printing the scans digitally, I can't wait for the image to appear on the paper before my eyes in the chemicals! :D

I will keep you guys posted when I enlarge my first image.

Take care!

Fantastic!
Have fun!
I'm hoping that, when I move, I'm going to be able to have enough room to set up a darkroom... Fingers crossed...

I still have the very first image that I processed myself in my university darkroom about 30 years ago. A picture of my (family's) dog.

Enjoy the journey!

Good on ya!.....go for it! - I did the same forty five years ago, - when there was nothing else, and spent many long, late nights tossing soggy paper into the bin!....now I'm content to sit at my desk with a glass of Jack Daniels, and knock out a few A4's, and there's a mint Durst M670 with all the trimmings, and a couple of EL Nikkors, sat on the bench in my workshop waiting for someone to take it away!.....sorry to sound like a sad old f*rt, and a 'wet blanket', I wish you luck, and contentment! :)

Cheers, Dave.

For everybody who doesn't have a darkroom, just go for it. The stuff is dirtball cheap-o on the big auction site, and if you search around you can find example of darkrooms under stairs, in bathrooms, etc. So long as you aren't trying to do "too big" you can make a setup that you can break down and store easily. MF and LF are probably unworkable, but there's a boatload of smaller 35m enlargers to be had cheap; trays and other stuff are available cheap, too. I admit you will have to think outside the box if you're trying to do makeshift, but so long s you can meet the main criteria - darkness - you can fudge on a lot and still make decent 5x7 and 8x10 prints from 35mm negs. You probably aren't going to get museums knocking on your door asking for your work, but you'll sure have a blast. MB
