looking for 35 cron apo alternative

Is there a smallish 35 (or 28) that's as sharp/modern as the 35 cron apo?

Someone recommended the Voigt 35 lanthar apo, but it seems a bit heavy for my M11M.

I've been using an ordinary 35mm Voigt Ultron II on my M11. I love the micro-contrast, and the colours just seem to pop. It's not apochromatic, but it isn't bad..

I have the Biogon and am thinking of getting an A7ii. Are there any problems with the Biogon at wider apertures? Did you compare it to any other 35mm lenses? I have no problems wide open . this photo was taken at f2 the only 35 I have other then the biogon is the canon 35\2 ltm , that one...

The regular old v5 cron asph works well for me. You can buy a hood from Tahusa that is styled like the apo hood. Quite nice.

Don't know what 'apo' your referring to but the Voigt apo is not as heavy as the Leica 35 apo
