A friend of mine delivered me some "old
circa 1955 Leica equipment including an M3, Con 50 1.2, Elmar 90mm 1.4, Canon Serenar 35mm 3.5, etc. I am looking for a reputable purchaser in the market to give me an idea what it might be worth. Thanks.

Well it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'd look at the 'completed' listings on the bay. that gives you an idea of what people want to pay for the items. you could try looking on dealer's sites. You'll typically be given (at best) 1/3 what they want on the website, but maybe 1/5 to 1/8 the list price.
