I am looking for the smallest flash I can get for the xpan. I am not looking to light up a room or anything, just to be able to get close enough for portraits.

Thanks.

Hi David,

When I bought my Rollei 35SE I also picked up a tiny 121BC flash unit that has worked great for indoor pictures... You probably are familiar with the size of the rollei 35 and as the picture shows, the 121BC flash is just about the same size! Rollei had a number of tiny flash models that you might want to look into... I think the 100XLC was even smaller! Mine runs on 2AA batteries, doesn't have the quickest recharge, but definitely does the job I require... Also, since I picked mine up for $15 :) (I think you can easily find them on *bay pretty cheaply) you really can't go wrong at that price....

If you were looking for something a little more modern, this metz model may fit the bill....

Do you just want to use flash when you're in regular 35mm mode, or do you need coverage for the panoramic mode as well? And how wide do you want to go? If it's really wide, then you'll need one that takes a diffuser..

Im not sure how much coverage the panoramic mode needs but the Vivitar 285 can cover about a 28 at 35mm. They go for reasonably cheap i think i picked one up for 40 bucks
