I can spel good, my grammar ain't too darn'ed bad, and I can aslo catch typos.

As a matter of fact, I was going to suggest something just along these lines to this forum...good that Jorge suggested it first.

Since I have previoulsy written for periodical publication (non-photog), I am very interested. My preference woud be for you to "widen the focus" (forgive the pun) to include ALL film-format cameras.

Consider this, there have recently been a "feces-load" of threads here on RFF about these "new" Cosina/Zeiss F-mount lenses intended for Nikon SLR cameras. Similarly, we seen huge responses to other threads with topics such as: "How do you 'cheat' on your RF?"

There seems to be a strong yearning on the part of many here, and I suspect more generally, to find a "place for film in a digital world".

So perhaps a "film forum" approach would broaden the interest of your proposed e-zine? Kind of on the lines of what this APUG effort is attempting to capture?

And think of it, Bill M. could be the "naysayer" op-ed columnist explaining in so many ways why film is dead.

I can write as sophisticated (or not) as you want. But, as Gene W. notes, writing takes time and effort. Compensation (perhaps "on the come during start up") should be part of the discussion.

How much experience in a field would you need?

I am looking for a few good writers with time on their hands. I am thinking of an on-line magazine called "RFF Photography Journal". This would be an online magazine which I would email to all our members. The purpose is to get a publication going which I hope would become popular enough to go in to print. Just a dream but what the heck.

Jorge, I have a journalism degree and have written professionally for publications including Advertising Age and Dance Magazine, along with five years full-time at a newspaper and various places since.

Where I fall short is in the "time on their hands" category -- but I might be able to make time occasionally for a suitably juicy topic. If you think I might fit into what you're planning, please keep me in mind. Thanks...

I volunteer for writing too.
I´ve been working all of my life in technical matters (Í´ve dealt with almost everything on earth), and have a lot of experience in writing reports (both english and spanish) and technical notes about equipment. I´ve made a lot of translations both ways too. As for today, I´m unemployed and have a lot of time to write (and I´m not looking for money, I´ll do it just for the pleasure it brings)

(if you're planning on widening the spectrum of cameras covered, perhaps limiting to manual focus would keep the feel here? There's plenty of us use old manual SLR's, TLR's etc. etc. - and gives a larger target market.)

It would be great to finally have a shot at putting my skills where my heart is. Of course, you'd have to be open to my generally "glowing neon" prose style. You say you would want to work with "the writer" which implies that you seek a single writer with which to work on the "Rangefinder Photography Journal," but would you consider working with an editor and a selection of columnists? That would open doors for considerable variety, given the range of perspectives and passions we have here at RFF.
