You'll see good working cameras.
If your is not in same condition it is not working.

No. They can look exactly the same. My last film camera before I jumped onto digital was a Ricoh point-n-shoot zoom. It was working just fine when I stopped using it. Fast-forward a decade. I find it in a drawer. And having started shooting some film again with a Canon EOS 3 and Voigtlander R3A, I decided to see if it still worked. So I procured a proper fresh battery and tried to turn it on. Well, it sort-of turns on. But the lens doesn't extend from the body anymore like it should. But the camera still looks exactly like it did from the last time I had actually used it.

Depends on your definition of working. I think my Yashica wore the "Pad of death" off, so it is working... at one shutter speed only! Still looks the way I first got it.😀

On a serious note though, if you are thinking of getting something which looks mint but not sure whether it's working or not, just ask the seller. And if he claims that he doesn't know how to operate it, but the price is okay, just jump on it! Worst case scenario, you will have extra spare parts that's all!

Ditto on the shutter speeds - but I would like to add where it may apply, "we don't have a batteries to test it."

In other words, "looks to be in good working order" means no one has tested the camera with film in long while. I recently sold a camera that fit the description and had to issue a refund.
