Or as a buyer, I might say it looks to be working - which means I've gone through the functions and dry fired it but haven't developed the film yet.

Looks to be working - camera does something on its own. And don't blame seller if camera does something you didn't expect!

Your camera appears OK
His camera looks to be working (but probably isn't)
