Loose G1 lens mount?

Hello all

has anyone experienced your mount giving a bit of play?
I use the novoflex m-adapter, and recently started to give.

Since I use manual focus lenses, it is really irritating focusing and getting that loose knock.

Also if I throw a micro lens on it it does the same, so it is not the adapter.

Any ideas on repairing this?

Mine has some play, but it is the way the mount is designed.

With all 4/3 and m4/3 camera bodies the lens release button is a switch, which means the mount has to be made so it reliably engages. Some latitude is needed beyond what might be the normal stop point for it to do this. Its also why you should never keep the release button pressed in while mounting a lens as it can make the lens go over centre and the switch not engage, and hence communication between lens and body isn't made.

I think you'll find that is the 'problem', although you should never discount the idea the camera may be falling apart 🙁
